It’s that time of year again as we say goodbye to this year’s amazing SU Officer team.
They’ve done a fantastic job over the last 12 months, working hard to represent you and stand up for your rights.
As part of their fight for change, they’ve run loads of campaigns including:
Black History Month
Beat The Burglar
LGBT+ History Month
Sustainability Week (and the launch of Portland Zero)
They’ve also worked tirelessly to celebrate all your achievements – despite the coronavirus crisis – by organising online ceremonies, including:
Education Network Awards
And not forgetting all the amazing work they’ve done to lobby the University to make assessment fairer and better, including securing Extenuating Circumstances for black students in relation to the current exposure of racial tensions here in the UK and abroad.
Plus, they set up UoN Neighbours, an online community where you could connect during the lockdown, sharing stories, information and ask your questions.
We think they’ve done a great job and achieved so much under really strange and challenging circumstances.
So we’d just like to say a huge thank you and well done and wish them all the very best of luck for their futures.
