Today marks the beginning of Disability History Month, and I am thrilled to announce the SU’s first ever campaign of events in celebration of it!
This is a big step towards furthering the representation of disabled students on campus, as well as improving education on disability, ableism and disabled rights.
From talks to virtual cafes – we've got so much planned for Disability History Month - and we can’t wait for disabled and non-disabled students to join us in celebration! I encourage you all to take this opportunity to learn about our wonderful disabled community and learn how to be a better ally to your disabled peers.
Let’s come together and make our first Disability History Month celebration one to remember!
