Democracy and elections

Student elections and democracy

Student elections and democracy give you the chance to use your voice and have your say in the way your Students’ Union is run, how your fellow students are represented and what the future holds for your SU.

We hold elections four times a year, during which you have the opportunity to choose your student leaders and academic representatives, and campaign for what you believe in.

Our democratic processes give you the chance to hold your Officers to account, have a say on Union Policy and make sure all of our democratic processes hold up to scrutiny.

Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Representation
  • Feedback
  • Campaigning
  • Bye-laws and governing documents
