Psychology Society (PsychoSoc)
About Psychology Society (PsychoSoc)
Welcome to Psychosoc
We are a committee of 12 Psychology students who aim to help make your university experience unforgettable.
Previosuly we have organised socials, balls, trips away which provided members with an excellent opportunity to bond with fellow psychology students across all the years. This year we will try to find alternative ways to do so and help create an online community of psychology students.
Welfare sessions are provided for Psychosoc members which are lead by our Welfare and Charity Officers. They are advocates for positive mental health and are here to provide you with support and advice, whether it is academic, wellbeing or adjusting to university life. Exam advice sessions are held every year to help you regarding revision techniques, and answer any questions you may have, (especially regarding the dreaded statistics exam!!!)
We have a Netball team who play in the IMS league against other societies regularly. This is open for all levels and experience with netball. You can improve your fitness and it is a great way to socialise!
We host career events for our members, providing them with talks from previous Psychology students from Nottingham. This is a great way to get advice on your future career paths and open your eyes to many jobs. A psychology degree provides you with many transferrable skills which allows you to discover many careers.
Hope to see you soon!!!
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
