About Impact Magazine
Where can you find us?
Our office can be found in the Media Zone, on Level C of Portland Building. From the main entrance of Portland, follow the stairs upward to the first level and then turn right. Our office is signposted from the main entrance and is between URN and NSTV.
How can I get involved?
In any shape or form. The magazine itself is run by an approxiamtely 30-headed editorial team throughout the year, but we are constantly on the lookout for talented writers, photographers, graphic designers, amateur sleuths, models or just generally people that can put up posters or carry boxes. Firstly, get a membership! This is crucial as you cannot write for us without one, due to legal reasons. You will also receive our monthly newsletter so you are always in the loop about all things Impact.
Secondly, contact us. Our contact details can be found here: https://impactnottingham.com/about/.
Thirdly, attend a section meeting. Every section holds a meeting every week of the academic term; visit us on https://impactnottingham.com/get-involved/ to find out more.
We will be reviewing how we can operate safely within COVID-19 prevention measures, but it is likely that meetings will be held virtually and Microsoft Teams links will be sent each week on the section contributor Facebook pages. We will also be trying to have as many socials as possible, so get ready for a lot of virtual quizzes!
Want to make an Impact at Nottingham? Then you're in the right place.
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
