About Hope Soc
HopeSoc is an enthusiastic student led society built upon our support and passion for the charity, Hope for Children.
Hope for Children helps orphaned, poor, exploited and other marginalised children in developing countries and in the UK. They are a non-sectarian, non-political and not-for-profit organisation that provides crucial support to children who really need it.
Currently, the charity is supporting disadvantaged children and families in the UK, Ghana, India, Sri Lanka, The Philippines and Uganda.
We're an extremely friendly and engaging society, and aim to get as many people invovled with our events, campaigns and ideas as possible, so if you're passionate about charity or simply want to get to know some friendly new faces, then please joing the Facebook HopeSoc linked below. A members 20/21 HopeSoc page is also available to request to join to find out more up to date news and information. This can be accessed through the weblink on the general Nottingham HopeSoc page. We also have an Instagram account, @hopesocnotts, which we would love for you to follow to keep up to date with our journey this year.
Due to the current situation with Covid-19 we are constantly brainstorming new ideas to fundraise and get involved in raising awareness about Hope charity across the University.
This term we are taking on our first ever 'Strava Running Challenge' where all active members are running, jogging or walking any distances, with an aim of reaching a total goal distance (tbc). For more information on this, please visit our Facebook page.
If you are keen to get involved in HopeSoc, yearly memberships are available for just £3 through this website. Please feel free to message your President, Georgina Morris, on Facebook if you have any questions about our society this year. More detailed information about the society's activities and challenge this term can also be found on the HopeSoc 20/21 members page. Please feel free to request to join it :)
We look forward to meeting you soon!
