About Hockey (Ladies)
INFORMATION
Ladies Hockey is one of the largest sports clubs on campus, with over 120 members annually.
We are a performance club with 6 competitive BUCS teams. Both our 1st and 3rd Team made the Big BUCS Wednesday finals this past year before they were unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19.
We have 4 teams entered into Saturday Leagues, with 3 of these teams promoted in the 2019/20 season.
Our 1st Team is one of the best university sides in the country, competing in the BUCS Premier League and England hockey National League.
We currently have multiple players in the GB Elite Development Programme, with numerous junior international caps. Previous GB international alumni include Annie Panter, Jo Hunter and Esme Burge.
We hold a number of social events throughout the year including Christmas Dinner, Boat Party and Alumni Ball, as well as socials every Wednesday to celebrate our success during the day!
The club offers you friendship, opportunities and the all-around university experience! However, in return we do expect a high level of commitment, playing and training twice a week.
