About Cricket (Ladies)
Welcome to UNLCC
Weekly training sessions are conducted by our fully qualified ECB Level III coach, Joe Ashdown, every Tuesday 8.30 - 10:30pm and every Thursday 6 - 8.30pm at the University Sports centre, David Ross.
All necessary equipment is provided by the club, so there is no need to worry if you don't own any kit! All members of the club are required to purchase the University Sports Membership. The club enters the BUCS championships every year. This includes indoor competitions starting in October (we came third this year!!) and outdoor matches during the Summer Term. Along with this we play friendly matches against women's teams within Nottingham and organise friendly tournaments with other university clubs. For the last couple of year we have also entered the British Open allowing us to play against international women cricketers. We are always looking for new competitions for more practice and to give everyone an opportunity to play. Our club isn't just about the cricket, we also enjoy a wide range of social activities such as pizza and film nights, meals out and even ice skating. Not forgetting our annual Christmas dinner and awards night! If you would like to become a member of our friendly club, come along to a session where a member of the committee will be on hand to answer any questions you have and provide you with more information.President : Hannah KeysVice President : Sophie OsbourneIndoor Captain: Georgi Sutton-WalkerOutdoor Captain : Katie WolfeDevelopment Captain : Madison DewsTreasurer : Zoe MintonWelfare Officer : Eleanor RickenbachGeneral Sec : Simran DehalSocial Sec : Annabel Moss
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
