About Bengali Society
The University of Nottingham Bengali Society projects the identity and culture of the people of Bangladesh broadly and the wider Bengali community in general and interact with other cultures within the diversified environment within the university.
So whether you are from Bangladesh, India from the UK, undergrad, postgrad, etc -fluent in Bengali or don’t know a single word- like fish or don’t like fish – you are all welcome! We strive to create a home away from home via our events and we cant wait to see you online or in person.
We do events that are best suited in our Bangladeshi culture which include game nights, Potluck dinners, Pohela Boishak and Falgun, picnics, Bengali night and many more.
So if you want to follow us on social media, we have got our Facebook page under the name University of Nottingham Bengali Society and then we have also got an Instagram page uonbengalisociety so you can follow us either there. Feel free to message us at any time and if you want to be added to the Facebook group chat, just send the Facebook page a message saying that you have already bought membership!
See you all soon!
Committee
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
